Along with the grand view of the Great Wall, travelers to Peking shouldn’t miss trying the Peking Roasted Duck. To enjoy the famous duck, the restaurant Quan Ju De is the best choice for you. It has multiple outlets in Peking (Beijing). The old restaurant first opened in 1860. The duck here is said to be the best in Peking, and the service is very good as well. Beijing Have many famous Restaurants.
History of Peking Duck
Duck has been roasted in China since the Southern and Northern Dynasties. A variation of roast duck was prepared for the Emperor of China in the Yuan Dynasty. The dish, originally named “Shaoyazi”, was mentioned in the Complete Recipes for Dishes and Beverages manual in 1330 by Hu Sihui, an inspector of the imperial kitchen. The Peking Roast Duck that came to be associated with the term was fully developed during the later Ming Dynasty, and by then, Peking Duck was one of the main dishes on imperial court menus. The first restaurant specialising in Peking Duck, Bianyifang, was established in the Xianyukou, Qianmen area of Beijing in 1416. By the Qianlong Period (1736-1796) of the Qing Dynasty, the popularity of Peking Duck spread to the upper classes, inspiring poetry from poets and scholars who enjoyed the dish. For instance, one of the verses of Duan Zhu Zhi Ci, a collection of Beijing poems was, “Fill your plates with roast duck and suckling pig”. In 1864, the Quanjude restaurant was established in Beijing. Yang Quanren, the founder of Quanjude, developed the hung oven to roast ducks. With its innovations and efficient management, the restaurant became well known in China, introducing the Peking Duck to the rest of the world.
By the mid-20th century, Peking Duck had become a national symbol of China, favored by tourists and diplomats alike. For example, Henry Kissinger, the Secretary of State of the United States, met Premier Zhou Enlai in the Great Hall of the People on July 10, during his first visit to China. After a round of inconclusive talks in the morning, the delegation was served Peking Duck for lunch, which became Kissinger’s favorite. The Americans and Chinese issued a joint statement the following day, inviting President Richard Nixon to visit China in 1972. Peking Duck was hence considered one of the factors behind the rapprochement of the United States to China in the 1970s. Following Zhou’s death in 1976, Kissinger paid another visit to Beijing to savor Peking Duck. Peking Duck, at the Quanjude in particular, has also been a favorite dish for various political leaders ranging from Cuban revolutionary Fidel Castro to former German chancellor Helmut Kohl.
It is part of the larger Gongti nightlife area, which is situated in eastern urban Beijing’s Chaoyang District.
There are also plenty of nightlife venues opening along the adjacent Gongrentiyuchang Street all the way east to Chaoyang Park. Most of these small, privately owned cafe/bars serve Western cuisine by day and imported beer, wine, and spirits by night. They attract a large number of foreign residents, diplomats, and students, as well as young, moneyed Beijingers. In the summer, most of these cafe/bars offer outdoor seating, pleasant places to while away the sunlit hours. In the evenings, most cafe/bars become meccas for after-dinner drinks and live music, particularly rock.
Sanlitun’s business grew when, along with the economic reforms of the late1970sand early1980s, bars serving expats (and later, to locals) sprang up. International hotels hosted the first bars, but in the 1990s standalone establishments appeared.

The page you are reading now is information about Jiangxi Attractions.

Xishan (Westen Hill) Longevity Palace
Located on Mount Xishan in Xinjian County, the Xishan Longevity Palace is a famous Taoist temple. Xu Xun, a Nanchang native and an honest and upright magistrate of Jingyang County in Sichuan Province in the Eastern Jin Dynasty(317_ 420), who devoted himself to control all his life, once came here to” cultivate himself and make pellets. ” The Xishan Temple was later built in his memory. It was repaired and enlarged in the Northern and Southern Dynasties and was named the Youwei Temple. In 1010 during the Song Dynasty, it became a palace; Emperor Zhenzong of the Song Dynasty (960-1279) inscribed the words “Yu Long” and ordered a tablet be made with the words on it. Emperor Weizong of the Song Dynasty ordered that it be rebuilt according to the Zongfu Palace in Luoyang, and inscribed the words “Yu Long Longevity Palace.” He also ordered a tablet be made with the words on it. Three front halls, three middle halls, three rear halls, a stage and a magnificent gate were built when it was renovated in 1867. In the palace there are three ancient cypresses planted in the Jin Dynasty. Legend has it that Xu Xun planted one of the trees. And cypresses planted in the Tang (618-907), Song (960-1279) and Ming (1368-1644) dynasties are still growing well. Aniron pillar made in the Jin Dynasty (265-420) in front of the palace, an ancient well with stream water in it, and a fence are all well preserved.

Meiling Mountain
Towering 841 metres above sea level, the Meiling Mountain is situated in the middle of the Xishan Mountains. Covered with lots of green pines and bamboo plants, and with waterfalls, fountains and streams here and there, it is called “Little Mt. Lushan.” Legend has it that Mei Fu, magistrate of Nanchang County, came here to learn Taoism after his official career. Therefore it is called Meiling, and the Meixian Terrace was constructed. Hotels, restaurants and shops are available on the mountain. There are many beautiful spots that do not get mentioned in books because they offer no exceptional sights or attractions. And that is part of what makes them special. A trip out to such a spot can be very rewarding, and a meditative summer picnic on the green will Provide an oasis of tranquillity in a hectic day.

You just finish the page on Jiangxi attracions, when you want to travel in Jiangxi, another travel i think you will be to try.jingdezhen tour ,a wonderful tour.
